Weddings above the water
Garden-deck ceremonies, grand ballroom receptions and the suite for the morning after. Coordinated by our events lead from first site visit to last dance.
One team, one building, no gaps
The Star's event floor handles 40 to 400 guests, and The Darling supplies the rooms around it. Ceremonies on the garden deck face the harbour; receptions move inside without anyone hailing a taxi.
Jonah Reid runs our events desk. He knows which ballroom configuration loses the echo, which florist fits the deck, and why the photographer should scout at 16:40 in October.

Three things you'll notice
Ceremony to reception
Garden deck vows, ballroom dinner, and the bridal party's suites on the same floor. The day flows without transport logistics.
Room blocks
Guest rooms held in a block at an event rate, released a month before the date so your list can breathe.
A planner who stays
Jonah or a senior coordinator is on the floor during the event itself. Problems get solved before they reach the head table.
Four steps, handled
01
A site visit — walk the deck and both ballrooms with Jonah, with dates and numbers in hand.
02
A written proposal: spaces, menus, room block, timings, total. Two rounds of revision included.
03
Suppliers confirmed through our list or yours; the run-sheet lands with everyone a week out.
04
The day runs. We stay until the last guest finds the lift.

"Jonah caught a catering timing error two weeks out that we never would have seen. The day itself felt effortless because it wasn't."
